A song about the 1922 strike of mill workers in Manchester, MNH and other locations in the northeast US. Workers, including many Franco-Americans, struck against wage cuts for nine months, leading to better hours and wages. The song is from the viewpoint of the strikers and their efforts to organize in spite of language differences.
